HOME ON THE RANGE : The Red Wings posted their first season series win against Charlotte since 2009, when they went 5-3.

DAY AND NIGHT : The Red Wings are 27-25 beginning May 3, playing better than .500 baseball for more than a 3rd of the season.

CLOSE CALL : The Red Wings are now 14-10 in June, posting their most victories in a calendar month since going 17-15 in August 2009.

THE END: The Red Wings are 26-20 at Frontier Field, including a 22-16 mark as the home team...the Red Wings are unbeaten in 10 of their 13 series at Frontier, going 6-3-4.

ON THE BALL : Cole De Vries made his 4th start since being optioned from Minnesota June 7, earning the win after allowing 2 runs on 6 hits over 8.0 innings.

DOUBLE VISION : Nineteen of Clete Thomas' 40 hits have gone for extra bases (11 doubles, 2 triples, and 6 home runs).

MORE THE MERRIER : J.R. Towles posted his 7th multi-hit game.

HELLO AND GOODBYE : Red Wings' lefthander Matt Maloney has been placed on the 7-Day Disabled List with a strained left elbow and righthander Luis Perdomo has been transferred to Triple-A Rochester from Double-A New Britain

BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR : The Wings hit the road for a brief 4-game set at Lehigh Valley (Phillies) tomorrow through Friday before returning home for a 2-game series against the Empire State Yankees Saturday and Sunday.
