Today's Game
This evening, the Bisons will begin a four-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs as part of an overall seven-game homestand. Tonight marks the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Rochester Red Wings will visit for three games starting on Monday, then the Herd go back on the road for seven games.

RHP Sam Gaviglio struck out eight batters over 7.1IP, but surrendered a pair of solo home runs for a no decision. The Bisons' offense scored twice in the top of the ninth to tie the game 2-2, but a Clint Frazier RBI base hit in the bottom of the ninth gave the RailRiders a walk-off win.
Today's Starter: RHP Taylor Guerrieri
RHP Taylor Guerrieri is making his first start of the season for the Bisons. The Augusta, GA product has made three relief appearances with the Herd, amassing 7.0IP while giving up 4R/ER and striking out six. The former Tampa Bay 1st Round Pick was used primarily as a starter in the Rays organization.
Syracuse (0-0)
The Bisons and Chiefs will play a total of 18 times this season, with 11 coming at Coca-Cola Field. Syracuse will return to Buffalo for four more games May 21-24, with the first meeting at NBT Bank Stadium coming on June 29 for three games. Last year the two teams split the season series with nine wins each.
Ian Parmley
OF Ian Parmley was in the lineup for the Herd for the second straight day on Wednesday and added to his hit streak with an eighth inning single. The second-year Bison was added to the roster on Sunday from extended Spring Training. Parmley appeared in 79 games for the Bisons in 2017, with 11 stolen bases.
Rowdy Tellez
1B Rowdy Tellez extended his hitting streak to seven straight games by collecting a ninth inning base hit against Scranton. Tellez has four multi-hit performances in the seven games, with 11 total hits in the stretch. He has upped his batting average to .255 on the season.
Bisons Bits
INF Richard Urena collected his first RBI as a member of the Bisons on Wednesday. The short stop was called up from Dunedin (Adv-A) on Tuesday, and made his Bisons debut yesterday...LHP Sam Moll worked for the second time in the series against Scranton on Wednesday. Moll recorded the final two outs of the eighth inning. It was his second straight scoreless relief outing against the RailRiders.
Transactions
OF Dwight Smith Jr. and LHP Tim Mayza were recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays prior to the first game of their doubleheader in Cleveland this morning. INF Gift Ngoepe was optioned to the Bisons in a corresponding move announced by the Jays.
Blue Jays Update
Toronto (17-13) could not complete the sweep against the Minnesota Twins. The Blue Jays lost 4-0 to Minnesota. Today they are in Cleveland for a doubleheader to make up for a pair of rain outs in April. LHP Jaime Garcia will start Game 1 at 1:10 p.m., with the Game 2 starter not yet announced. Toronto will travel to Tampa Bay following the games today for a three-game series against the Rays over the weekend.
