Today's Game
This afternoon, the Bisons host the Pawtucket Red Sox for the second game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Feld (1:05 p.m.). The PawSox struck first in the series with last night's 9-8 win. The Herd is now 1-2 in their three games they've played in Buffalo. The team travels to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a three-game set after this weekend.

The PawSox got a two-run 10th inning home run from catcher Dan Butler to defeat the Bisons, 9-8. Buffalo had a 5-4 lead after six innings, but Pawtucket scored in six of their 10 trips to the plate. INF Tim Lopes had three hits and two RBI in the defeat.
Today's Starter: RHP Joe Biagini
RHP Joe Biagini makes his third start of the season for the Bisons. The righty worked 5.1 innings last Monday in Durham and allowed four runs on six innings of work in an 8-1 Bulls win. Despite being winless in two starts this year, the veteran has held opponents to a .190 average against with just eight hits in 10.1 innings of work.
Pawtucket (2-2)
The Bisons are 2-2 against the PawSox this season. Buffalo took a three-run series over the Red Sox to open the season, April 9-11. These teams still have four more series against each other following this weekend, starting with a three-game set in Rhode Island, May 14-16.
Tim Lopes
INF Tim Lopes has showed no any signs of slowing down, extending his hitting streak to all 10 games that he has appeared in. After his first three-hit Triple-A game on Friday, the infielder is hitting an International League-best .472. That average is a 112 points better than any other hitter in the league. He also leads the IL with a .537 OB%.
Dalton Pompey
OF Dalton Pompey has collected at least one base hit in each of his six games since being optioned to the Herd on April 20. Along with a .346 average, the outfielder is a perfect 4-for-4 stealing bases and has recorded three multi-hit performances. Injuries (concussion, leg) limited Pompey to just 13 games in all of 2017.
Dwight Smith Jr.
OF Dwight Smith Jr. drove in three runs on Friday night without the benefit of a base hit. Smith Jr. had two sacrifice flies and beat out a doubleplay to drive in another run. The outfielder now has 11 RBI in only 12 games this season. He also leads the Bisons with 10 walks on the season and is tied for the team lead with four extra-base hits.
Bisons Bits
INF Jason Leblebijian has scored a team-best nine runs in his nine starts this year...LHP Tim Mayza was activated by the Bisons prior to Friday night's game after his second stint with the Blue Jays. He has thrown 1.2 scoreless innings over two appearances with Toronto this year...As a team, the Bisons have struck out 119 times in 12 games, an average of 9.92 strikeouts/game.
Blue Jays Update
Toronto (14-11) lost their third straight game, 6-4, to the Rangers. RHP Marcus Stroman allowed all six runs to fall to 0-3 on the year. 1B Justin Smoak had four hits to raise his average to .275 on the season. LF Steve Pearce drove in two runs in the loss. The Blue Jays are back at it today at 4:07 p.m.
