LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats (8-10) dropped the middle game of a three-game series and had their three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday night, losing to the Toledo Mud Hens (14-6) by a 6-5 score.

The Bats struck first, scoring five runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead. Steve Selsky clubbed an RBI double, followed by a Stuart Turner RBI single and Blake Trahan double that set up a pass ball and a sacrifice fly to make it a 4-0 game.

Tyler Goeddel then doubled and Nick Senzel tripled him in to make it a 5-0 game before the Mud Hens would score four runs in the bottom of the inning off Bats right-hander Jose Lopez (0-2, 5.75). Lopez went 5.0 innings, giving up four earned runs on eight hits and one home run, walking none and striking out five.

Senzel was removed from the game in the sixth inning after making a diving effort on a ball hit into shallow right field.

Right-hander Kevin Quackenbush made his Louisville debut, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings with one walk and one strikeout.

The Bats and Mud Hens are back at it for the series finale tomorrow with left-hander Justin Nicolino (1-1, 3.00) set to start for Louisville. The Bats return home on Monday for a three-game series with the Columbus Clippers.
