Today's Game

This evening, the Buffalo Wings take on the Rochester Plates in the third game of a four-game series. Following this series, Buffalo will have a scheduled day off on Monday before heading to Pawtucket for a four-game series June 19-21. The Herd will then return to Coca-Cola Field to host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Pawtucket Red Sox June 22-28.

Last Game: BUF 4, ROC 3

RHP Sean Reid-Foley earned his second career Triple-A victory on Friday. The righty tossed seven and a third innings giving up four hits and an earned run while striking out seven. This was Reid-Foley's longest outing not only in a Buffalo uniform, but his longest in all 13 starts that date back to his time with AA New Hampshire. INF Darnell Sweeney, OF Roemon Fields, and INF Richard Urena led the Wings' offense on Friday night. Each player had two hits, with Sweeney leaving the park for the sixth time this season, driving in three of the four runs.

Rochester (7-4)

The Wings and Plates will play a total of 17 times this season. The last time Buffalo played Rochester was 5/25 through 5/28 winning five out of six games, including two doubleheader sweeps against their Thruway Cup rival (5/25 and 5/27). Following this series in Buffalo, the Wings will travel to Frontier Field for a three game series starting on 8/28.

Today's Starter: RHP Chris Rowley

RHP Chris Rowley will make his twelfth start of the season. In his last start on June 11, the righty picked up the win in a 9-4 victory against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Rowley gave up two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out seven, tying his season-high in punch outs.

Richard Urena

INF Richard Urena went 2-4 with a double on Friday. It was the switch hitters' second multi-hit game in a row. Of the nine games Urena has collected a base hit, six of those have been multi-hit games. Since returning from the Disabled List on Thursday, the infielder has increased his batting average 36 points (.276).

Hot Wings

With a base hit Friday, C Reese McGuire now has a 6-game hitting streak going 11-21 (.524) over the stretch...OF Roemon Fields is batting .347 (17-49) with a .458 on-base percentage in 13 June games, with all of the hits coming in nine of those...Despite giving up a pair of runs Friday, RHP Conor Fisk continues to lead Buffalo relievers with a 1.29ERA in 21.0 innings pitched.

Darnell Sweeney

INF Darnell Sweeney went 2-3 on Friday, which was his ninth multi-hit game of the year. Sweeney also collected a two-run double in the second and blasted his sixth homerun in the fourth. In 11 games in June, the infielder has gone 13-37 (.351) and also carries a .400 on-base percentage.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (31-38) took game one of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals with a 6-5 victory Friday night. INF Yangervis Solarte and 2B Devon Travis led the Blue Jays' offense. Solarte went 3-4 with 3 extra-base hits including two home runs, while driving in three. Travis also homered and drove in two off the shot. RHP Marco Estrada will face RHP Max Scherzer in today's game at Rogers Centre (4:07 p.m.).
