Today's Game
This evening, the Bisons take on the Toledo Mud Hens to finish off a three game series at Fifth Third Field. This continues a nine-day road trip against Toledo, Columbus, and Lehigh Valley. The Herd will then return home as the Buffalo Wings June 14-17 as they host the Rochester Plates.

RHP Chris Rowley made his tenth start of the season allowing 9H, 4R, 3ER, 1BB, and 4SO in his 7.0 IP. Buffalo was unable to overcome an early 4-0 Toledo lead. The Herd's only run came off a solo blast by 1B Rowdy Tellez in the top of the fifth inning. After the loss to the Mud Hens, the Herd has fallen 2.5 games back of International North Division leaders Lehigh Valley. Buffalo looks to bounce back tonight with team ERA leader Deck McGuire on the hill.
Today's Starter: RHP Deck McGuire
RHP Deck McGuire is making his eighth start of the season with the Herd, and is in search of his first win since rejoining the Bisons. In the righty's last outing he went 4.2IP surrendering 3H, 4R/4ER, 3BB. McGuire also struck out 6, which marks the third time this season he's struck out at least 6 batters. The Bisons have gone 5-2 as a team in games the righty has started.
Toledo (0-2)
The Bisons and Mud Hens will face off for the third time in 2018 at Toledo. The two teams will play a total of 6 times this season. Following the three games at Third Fifth Field, the Mud Hens will travel to Buffalo August 10-12 for a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field.
Dwight Smith Jr.
OF Dwight Smith Jr. went 1-3 on Wednesday evening improving his hitting streak to 4 games. The outfielder hit his sixth double of the season and had a walk in the Bison's loss to the Mud Hens. Smith Jr. has risen his batting average to .297 on the season, which ranks third on the Bisons.
Danny Jansen
C Danny Jansen ranks second in the IL with a .422 on base percentage. Additionally, Jansen is 6th in batting average hitting .315 ... Last night Jansen went 1-4 improving his hitting streak to 4 games. Dating back to 6/1, the Bison's backstop has gone 5-16, which is good for a .313 batting average.
Rowdy Tellez
1B Rowdy Tellez went 2-3 with a solo home run and a double in Wednesday's loss to the Toledo Mud Hens. The first baseman has started a hot streak, with three extra base hits in his last 2 games, while going 3-5 in that span.
Bisons Bits
The Bisons have three players represented in the IL Top Ten for batting (Jansen, Lopes) and pitching (Borucki)...The Bisons won 16 games against IL North Division opponents in May, with an overall record of 16-10 against the North for the month...The nine-day road trip is the longest of the season for the Herd.
Blue Jays Update
Toronto (26-35) was swept in the two game series against the New York Yankees after being shutout 3-0 last night. Former Bison RHP Sam Gaviglio tossed 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing only 3 hits. LHP Jaime Garcia will take the hill in the Jays series opener of a four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles. First pitch is 7:07 p.m. at the Rogers Centre. Toronto will then travel down south the square off against the Tampa Bay Rays for a short three-game road trip before returning home.
