Today's Game

This evening, the Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in game two of their four game set at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA (7:05 p.m.). After Sunday afternoon's finale with the IronPigs, the Herd heads to Rhode Island to taken on the Pawtucket Red Sox for a three game series.

Last Game: LHV 6, BUF 5

RHP Chris Rowley tossed six innings, giving up five runs in the no decision. Rowley gave up a home run in each of the first two innings, while finishing the night with two walks and striking out three. INF Rowdy Tellez hit his first home run of the season for the Herd, driving in three runs for the night. Tellez also singled and walked twice.

Today's Starter: LHP Ryan Borucki

LHP Ryan Borucki returns to the mound tonight for the sixth time this season. The lefty threw seven shutout innings in his lone start at Coca-Cola Field this season, giving up two hits and striking out five in route to the team's 6-1 victory against Syracuse on May 6.

Lehigh Valley (0-1)

The Bisons and IronPigs will play a total of 18 times this season. Following this series, the two teams will play each other again June11-13 in Lehigh Valley. The Herd then hosts the IronPigs for a three game series June 22-24 at Coca-Cola Field.

Rowdy Tellez

INF Rowdy Tellez hit his first homerun this season on Thursday. Tellez reached base four times in the game, adding a single and two walks in addition to the homer. Prior to Thursday's homerun, Rowdy Tellez's last round tripper came on June 27, 2017 at Coca-Cola Field against the Rochester Red Wings.

Danny Jansen

C Danny Jansen went 2 for 5 on Thursday. The backstop has now reached base safely in eight straight games, recording 11 hits in 38 at-bats (.393) in that span. He is now second on the team in hits with 25. INF Tim Lopes continues to lead the Herd in hits with 30.

Dwight Smith Jr.

OF Dwight Smith Jr reached base 3 times on Thursday. He now has 24 hits on the season, which is third on the team. Smith Jr.'s added a stolen base, and his fifth of the season and is now tied for second on the club.

Bisons Bits

With INF Rowdy Tellez's home run last night, the Bisons now have 2 home runs in the month of May...Stolen bases from OF Roemon Fields and OF Dwight Smith Jr. last night, now have the Herd tied for first in stolen bases in the IL with the Charlotte Knights (33)...The Bisons now also have two of the top four batters in average among league qualifiers (INF Tim Lopes .375AVG and C Danny Jansen .321AVG)

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (20-18) lost 9-3 against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday after splitting the first two games of the series. C Russell Martin hit his fifth homerun of the season in the loss. Former Bison RHP Aaron Sanchez heads to the mound tonight to start the first of three games against the Boston Red Sox (7:07 p.m.).
