
BB&T Ballpark to Host Team USA vs. Japan Baseball Game on July 3rd

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- BB&T Ballpark, the best ballpark in Minor League Baseball as recently named by Baseball America, will host an exciting Team USA vs. Japan baseball game on Tuesday, July 3rd. The game, which is part of the 42nd USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series, is presented by Sharp Business Systems. Team USA leads the all-time series 23-18 (20-1 all-time in the United States).
"We are very pleased to once again bring Team USA back to BB&T Ballpark," stated Dan Rajkowski, Charlotte Knights Chief Operating Officer. "This has become a yearly tradition to have Team USA host a game in Uptown Charlotte and we're glad to have them back for another season. We look forward to welcoming Japan to the ballpark for the first time and are thankful to Sharp Business Systems for their partnership in this event."
Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3rd and first pitch of the game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from the home of the Charlotte Knights. After the game, the Knights will light up the Uptown Charlotte skyline with a thrilling post-game fireworks show presented by BB&T and News Talk 1110 WBT.
Tickets for this game, which start as low as just $8 for Standing Room Only, are on sale now at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office, as well as by phone at 704-274-8282, and online at CharlotteKnights.com. Single-game tickets for all games at BB&T Ballpark this season are also on sale now. The Knights open a three-game series against the Durham Bulls (Triple-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) from BB&T Ballpark tonight at 7:04 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. tonight for game one of the series.
