BUFFALO, NY - The Columbus Clippers mounted a late-game comeback with four runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Buffalo Bisons 11-10 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Sahlen Field.

The Bisons scored four times in the bottom of the first to race out to a 4-0 lead against Columbus. Otto Lopez promptly extended his hitting streak to 14 straight games with a single to left field. The utilityman stole his 12th base of the season before Gabriel Moreno's two-run double gave the Herd a 2-0 lead. Lopez and Spencer Horwitz scored on the base hit.

Nathan Lukes belted his team leading eighth home run of the season to cap the four-run inning. He also added his team best 49th RBI with the two-run homer. The runs allowed Shaun Anderson to work two scoreless innings and leave the game with a 4-0 lead.

Columbus answered back with a solo run in the top of the third inning on an RBI single by David Fry. A three-run homer by Nolan Jones capped a four-run frame for the visitors and give the Clippers a 5-4 advantaged through three and a half innings.

Buffalo answered right back in the bottom of the fourth with five runs, thanks to a pair of home runs. Yoshi Tsutsugo and Zack Collins each hit two-run home runs to give the Bisons a 9-5 lead through four innings. The team batted around against two pitchers.

The team's fourth home run of the night came courtesy of L.J. Talley and his fourth long ball of the season. It was also the Bisons 16th home run in the month of August and extended the lead to 10-5 against the visitors.

The Clippers chipped away with a run in the top of the sixth to trim the deficit to 10-6. Then, they scored four times in the top of the ninth to tie the game 10-10. Columbus batted around for the second time of the game with the first four batters of the inning all scoring.

Buffalo surrendered the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning when Mitch Tolman scored on a base hit by Brayan Rocchio.

The two teams are scheduled to meet for the second game of the series at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday in Downtown Buffalo.
