
Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame to Induct McGrattan, Kish

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame Committee announced that it will induct Brian McGrattan and Larry Kish as the class of 2018. There will be a pregame ceremony prior to Friday's game against Syracuse.
McGrattan, 37, played a total of 196 regular-season games over the course of three seasons in Binghamton with the Senators from 2002-2005. The native of Hamilton, Ontario recorded 25 goals and 22 assists for 47 points, along with 1,051 minutes in penalties. McGrattan played in 317 regular-season National Hockey League games with Ottawa, Phoenix, Calgary, and Nashville. During his 336-game American Hockey League career, McGrattan had stops in San Antonio, Providence, Syracuse, Milwaukee, Adirondack, and San Diego. McGrattan's 551 penalty minutes in 2004-05 is the most in a single season in AHL history.
Kish, 76, coached several team in Binghamton from 1975-1982 including the Broome County Dusters (NAHL), Broome Dusters (AHL), Binghamton Barons (NY-Penn), and the Binghamton Whalers (AHL). Kish's most successful season came in 1981-82 where he helped lead the Binghamton Whalers to the Calder Cup Final, in an eventual loss to the New Brunswick Hawks, four games to one. That season, Kish was awarded the Louis A.R. Pieri Memorial Award as the AHL's Coach of the Year.
