Chicago Wolves News Release
GLENVIEW, Ill. - ESPN 1000's Carmen DeFalco and John Jurkovic are playing a game during the second intermission of the Chicago Wolves game on Saturday, April 14, at Allstate Arena - and they're seeking a handful of hockey-playing fans to join them on the ice.
Carmen and Jurko, who host their daily radio show from noon to 2 p.m. on ESPN 1000, already have recruited CBS 2 news anchor Rob Johnson and ABC 7 reporter/weekend anchor Ravi Baichwal to play in the scrimmage. Now they're looking for four skaters and two goaltenders to fill the other spots in the game.
Here's how to get into the running to play: Send a short highlight video or a YouTube link to carmenandjurko@espn.com. They will evaluate every entry that arrives by the Wednesday, April 4, deadline and then announce their selections on the air on Thursday, April 5. Each winner will receive 2 tickets to the April 14 game versus the Rockford IceHogs as well as an invitation to play in the game.
The Central Division-leading Wolves can clinch their 19th playoff berth in 24 seasons with a road win against the Iowa Wild on Friday or a home win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday. The first 5,000 fans to enter Allstate Arena on Saturday receive a set of Wolves Trading Cards, courtesy of Vienna Beef. For ticket information, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
