Roadrunners Sign Melancon to Professional Tryout

TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced today that the club has signed defenseman T.J. Melancon to a professional tryout.

The 21-year-old has registered 15 goals and 28 assists for a total of 43 points in 58 games this season with the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL. On Wednesday, Melancon was named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team.

At 6'2" - 201 lbs., Melancon is in his first year of professional hockey following three seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Roadrunners host the Grand Rapids Griffins at Tucson Arena this Friday and Saturday and tickets are on sale HERE now. For information on the Calder Cup Playoffs and tickets, click HERE.
