
Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose Set Fan Appreciation Games

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose will celebrate their fans this weekend, as each team hosts their last home game of the regular season, Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8, respectively. Both Fan Appreciation games will feature many special events and activities to thank fans for their tremendous support during the 2017-18 regular season.
Winnipeg Jets vs. Chicago Blackhawks, Saturday, April 7 at 6 p.m. CT
With fans eager to share in the post-season excitement, the doors of Bell MTS Place will open early, 90 minutes prior puck drop at 4:30 p.m. CT. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to be a part of the fan celebrations, which will include DJ Co-op bringing music to the Atrium.
Fans will have a chance to wish the team well by signing their name to the "We Are Winnipeg Mural". Pieces of the mural will be located on tables throughout the concourse on both the 100 and 300 level. The full 31' by 8' mural will then be assembled on the wall of the players hallway in the event level of Bell MTS Place.
The annual player awards ceremony will take place as part of the pre-game activities and will include presentation of the Wawanesa Insurance Community Service Award, the DEKALB Three Stars Award, and the Dan Snyder Memorial Award.
The Winnipeg Jets will welcome many special guests to the game, including World Curling Champions Jennifer Jones, Jill Officer, and Shannon Birchard, who will participate in a ceremonial puck drop; the Bros. Landreth, who will sing O Canada and the Star Spangled Banner; and Team Canada hockey team member and PyeongChang Silver medalist Bailey Bram, who will make the Kromar Printing 50/50 draw.
Throughout the game, fans can expect a lot of exciting fan appreciation giveaways, including Winnipeg Jets Whiteout Gear.
Sunday, April 8, Manitoba Moose vs. Bakersfield Condors at 2 p.m. CT
The Manitoba Moose will also bring an exciting atmosphere to their Fan Appreciation game. Doors open at 1 p.m. CT when the Cadet Brass Band will welcome fans in the Atrium. Fans will also enjoy the music of the Dirty Catfish Brass Band who will be playing on the concourse from 1 p.m. CT to puck drop. DJ Co-op will also bring music to the bowl throughout the game.
Kids will enjoy the Moose poster-making station and can also get their face painted on the concourse.
The Manitoba Moose will also hold a special player award ceremony that will feature the Manitoba Moose Rookie of the Year Award, the FLOFORM Countertops Most Valuable Player Award and the EPRA (Electronic Products Recycling Association) Julian Klymkiw Community Service Award, among others.
Fans will be rewarded with many prizes and giveaways, including player autographed items.
