BRIDGEPORT, CT â This Saturday, November 23rd will be "Fairfield Appreciation Night", "Police & Firefighter Appreciation Night" and March of Dimes "Blue Jeans For Babies Night" at the Arena at Harbor Yard in downtown Bridgeport when the American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, host the Philadelphia Phantoms at 7:05 p.m.
Fairfield residents who show proof of residency at the Arena at Harbor Yard box office will receive a discounted ticket price of $12.50.
Police Officers, Firefighters and their families can pick up vouchers good for a discounted ticket price of $12.50 by showing proper identification at the Sound Tigers' office this week or at a designated table outside the arena Saturday night. There will also be a Police/Fire broomball game on the ice during the first intermission Saturday.
Sound Tigers fans will be encouraged to help support the March of Dimes Saturday by purchasing a button and T-Shirt for $3.00. All of the money raised will go directly to the March of Dimes. The Sound Tigers will also take part in the March of Dimes "Bowling For Babies" at the Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield this Sunday, November 24th from 11:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. Fans can register to bowl with players, individual and team slots are available, by calling 849-9800. An entry fee is required and covers two games of bowling and shoe rental.
Sound Tigers 2002-03 tickets are on sale at the Arena at Harbor Yard box office, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 203-368-1000. Information regarding Sound Tigers flex packs, group discounts, birthday packages and season ticket packages is also available by calling 203-334-GOAL or logging on to www.soundtigers.com.
