Berube Reassigned to Reign from Monarchs

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced the return of goaltender JF Berube from his 11-day stint with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs.

Berube played in one game with the Monarchs in his first call-up of the season. The 22-year-old, Repentigny, Quebec native has appeared in 17 games with the Reign this season and currently holds a career-high 2.34 goals-against average and a save percentage of 0.903. His record on the season is 11-3-2, including a 7-0 shutout win he earned over San Francisco.

Last season Berube played his rookie season with the Reign and earned his highest-ever save percentage of 0.907 and most shutouts with four. He averaged just 2.87 goals-against through 37 starts.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound goalie was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round, 95th overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
