EVANSVILLE, IN.--- The Evansville IceMen proud ECHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons and Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League, in conjunction with the ECHL, have announced on this date that right wing NATHAN MOON has been selected to represent the IceMen for the 20th ECHL All-Star Game set for Wednesday, January 23rd in Colorado.

MOON, 23, is currently in his second pro campaign and his first under the IceMen banner. The 5-11, 197lb native of Belleville, Ontario ranks third in Evansville team scoring at this juncture of the season, registering 27-points in 33-games on 12-goals, 15-assists with 54-PIM, 4-PPG and one 3-goal "hat trick." The former fourth round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft was obtained by the IceMen in an early season deal with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Moon will be Evansville's lone representative to this season's league mid-season showcase event.

The 2013 ECHL All-Star Week, presented by CCM, begins next Tuesday, January 22nd with the ECHL All-Star Skills Competition, presented by OtterBox and continues with the ECHL All-Star Game, featuring the Colorado Eagles taking on the ECHL All-Stars on Wednesday, January 23rd. Both events commence at 8:05 pm CST at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.

The IceMen All-Star right wing will be in the lineup this weekend as his team continues its momentous three games in four nights' homestand this week within its own North Division. It's "NASCAR Night," Friday night when the IceMen tangle with Kalamazoo at 7:15pm. Toledo comes to town Saturday night for a duel with the IceMen with both games on the docket for 7:15 CST from the Ford Center.

The IceMen are 6(2-3-1) against Kalamazoo thus far this season with both victories coming consecutively in the Wings last two appearances in Evansville; December 1st, 3-2 and December 22nd, 4-3. However, in the last confrontation between the two North Division foes on January 5th in Kalamazoo, the Wings waylaid the IceMen, 7-3.

Evansville is 4(3-1-0) in four decisions against Toledo and 2(2-0-0) at home. In the last clash, December 15th in the Ohio city, the IceMen three game win streak at the expense of the Walleye came to an abrupt halt to the tune of a 4-0 shutout setback.
