Stockton Thunder News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," announced a special San Francisco 49ers watch party has been scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 20 at Stockton Arena, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Scheduled several hours before the Thunder hosts another Bay Area team - the San Francisco Bulls - the doors will open to the King's Room three and a half hours early to accommodate the appetite of football fanatics before hockey takes center stage at Stockton Arena.
Fans are invited to enjoy the viewing of the NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and Atlanta Falcons on several television screens in the King's Room of Stockton Arena and indulge in discounted food options throughout the day.
The King's Room will offer fans peanuts, hot dogs and pretzels for two dollars until halftime and two dollars off grill cart sausages (hot links, Italian, chicken apple, bratwurst and polish) until 3:00 p.m.
Admission to the watch party is free for fans presenting a ticket to the Thunder vs. Bulls game at Stockton Arena (4:00 p.m.) and can turn their support for one San Francisco team into energy against another.
The Bulls will meet the Thunder for the seventh time this season on "Thunder Gold Jersey Giveaway" day (free to the first 1,000 kids 12 and under in attendance). It will be the second meeting at Stockton Arena between the Thunder and San Francisco.
Tickets for Sunday's game are on sale beginning at $7 per seat and can be purchased at www.Ticketmaster.com or by visiting the Stockton Arena Ticket Office.
Sunday's game is also a "Family Day" promotion (presented by Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, 99.3 KJOY and Farmers Insurance) and offers four tickets, hot dogs, soft drinks and a Thunder cap for $34 when purchasing at www.StocktonThunder.com/tickets/family-days.
