Bellefeuille leads P-Bruins to tie

The Providence Bruins played their fourth game of the pre-season on Wednesday night at the University of Rhode Island, battling the Springfield Falcons to a 2-2 tie. The Bruins are now 1-1-2 in the pre-season.

Bruin forward Blake Bellefeuille scored both goals, including the game-tying goal with just 30 seconds remaining in regulation. Rookie goaltender Peter Hamerlik stopped 27 shots.

Head coach Scott Gordon's team plays the Lowell Lock Monsters at the Bridgewater (MA) Ice Arena on Friday, October 3 at 7:05 p.m. They wrap up the exhibition season the next night at the Springfield Civic Center, where they take on the Falcons at 7:35 p.m.

The Bruins open up the 2003-04 regular season, their 12th in the AHL, on Friday, October 10, when they host the Springfield Falcons at 7:05 p.m.
