Bulldogs Receive 11 Players from Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens, a parent club of the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, have assigned 11 players to Hamilton.

The Bulldogs will receive the following players from Montreal: goaltenders Eric Fichaud and Jean-Francois Damphousse, defencemen Francois Beauchemin, Karl Dykhuis and Patrick Traverse, and forwards Pierre Dagenais, Sylvain Blouin, Jonathan Ferland, Benjamin Carpentier, Alexander Perezhogin, and last season's captain in Hamilton - Benoit Gratton.

A total of 26 players remain at the Montreal Canadiens training camp. The Canadiens will play its final two preseason games on Friday, October 3rd against the Minnesota Wild, at the Bell Centre, and on Saturday, October 4 against the Senators in Ottawa.

The Bulldogs will continue their preseason action this week with a three-game trip to Newfoundland, where they will face the St. John's Maple Leafs. Hamilton will play the Maple Leafs in Corner Brook (Oct. 2), Gander (Oct. 3) and St. John's (Oct. 5)
