
Griffins Make First Cuts

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday released forwards Morten Ask, Lance Galbraith, Kris Goodjohn, Kevin Spiewak and Jeff Szwez, defenseman Nic Bilotto, and goaltender Sylvain Daigle.
Twenty-six players remain on the Griffins' training camp roster as they prepare for their two-game preseason slate. On Thursday, Oct. 2, they'll face the Chicago Wolves in an 8 p.m. EDT start at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, Ill. They'll complete their brief schedule this Friday, Oct. 3 against the Milwaukee Admirals at the Wilson Park Ice Arena in Milwaukee. Game time is 8:30 p.m. EDT.
