CN8 to televise six Phantoms games

(PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 1, 2003) - The Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League are proud to announce that CN8, The Comcast Network, will be televising six games during the 2003-04 season. CN8, a leading regional news, sports and entertainment network, reaches 6.2 million homes spanning from Maine to Maryland.

CN8's six-game package begins on Sunday, Dec. 28 at 5:00 p.m. ET, when the Phantoms host the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Spectrum. The schedule also features a Saturday afternoon showdown with the Milwaukee Admirals at the Wachovia Center on Jan. 31; road games in Hartford, Hershey and Manchester; and an important end-of-season home match-up with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, March 26.

The CN8 broadcast team will include play-by-play announcer Mick Moninghoff and color commentators Orest Kindrachuk and Brad Park. A two-time Emmy winner, Moninghoff has been with CN8 since 1996, doing play-by-play for their coverage of college football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, wrestling and the Trenton Titans (ECHL). Kindrachuk, who will work the three home games and the contest in Hershey, played six of his 10 NHL seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers. A 1988 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Park will call the two games in New England.

The Phantoms open the 2003-04 regular season on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:05 p.m., when they host the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Spectrum. Tickets to all Phantoms home games are $19, $18 and $14 for adults, and $8 for all children 14 and under, and are available now at the Wachovia Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley.
