Bee and Cubs Game Postponed

April 30, 2019 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Burlington Bees News Release

Burlington, Iowa - The Burlington Bees, Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, have announced the game scheduled for 6:30 PM today has been postponed. It will be made up as the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday, May 1. First pitch tomorrow will be at 5 PM. Gates at Community Field will open at 4:30 PM.

After the Burlington area has been deluged with over two inches of rain Monday night and Tuesday morning, Bees' General Manager Kim Parker was forced to make the decision to put the game off. "Unfortunately, even though the field has been covered, with the amount of rain we have gotten, Mother Nature left us no choice," Parker said.

This is the third time the club has had to move games due to weather. The Bees and Quad Cities River played a twin bill the third day of the season. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers had to reschedule a game just last week.

Burlington is 2-2 in the previous rescheduled games sets, sweeping the River Bandits, and being swept in Wisconsin.
