Bears kick off brief two-game homestand tonight
November 4, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
The Syracuse Crunch come to call Saturday night for the second and final meeting of the year between the two teams. HERSHEY will play tonight without Tomas Fleischmann, who was recalled today by the Washington Capitals.
Fleischmann was recalled following Washington's 4-3 loss to the Atlanta Thrashers Friday night at Verizon Center. It's the second call-up this season for the third year pro. HERSHEY's team leader in goals with eight will thus be unavailable this evening. The BEARS are playing tonight for the first time in six days after a 7-0-0-1 month of October. HERSHEY won 6-3 at Syracuse back on October 14, one of six road wins without defeat this season for the Chocolate and White.
Goaltender Frederic Cassivi enters tonight's game tied for the AHL lead in victories with five.
Tickets are still available for tonight's game at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR. Video of the game is also available via B2 Networks at HersheyBears.com. Air-time on the Bears Radio Network (100.1 FM, 1490 AM, 960 AM) is at 6:40 p.m. The game can be heard worldwide via the internet through Pennlive.com or Whylradio.com. John Walton has the call of the action, beginning with the pregame show at 6:40 p.m.
