Hershey Bears News Release
Friday's game in Albany kicks off three games in as many days for Bruce Boudreau's club, with home games this weekend against Philadelphia and Grand Rapids. HERSHEY will square off with the Phantoms at home Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. before hosting Grand Rapids Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
Tonight's game at Pepsi Arena is the second and final time in 2005-06 that HERSHEY will play in Albany. The Rats have lost two straight to the BEARS this season, and 11 consecutive games overall dating back to March 28, 2004. Albany head coach Robbie Ftorek has one win and 11 losses against HERSHEY since he assumed the coaching duties for the River Rats in March, 2004. HERSHEY begins play tonight just seven points back of first place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the East Division. The Penguins have the daunting task this weekend of playing three games in as many nights entirely in Canada. Wilkes-Barre is in Manitoba to face the Moose tonight and tomorrow before traveling to face Toronto Sunday night at Ricoh Coliseum in Ontario. The Penguins now have just one game in hand on HERSHEY entering play tonight.
Tonight's game can be heard via the BEARS Radio Network (100.1 FM, 1490-AM, 960-AM) beginning at 6:40 p.m. John Walton has the call of the game from New York. Saturday's game against Philadelphia will be carried by XM Satellite Radio in addition to the BRN on XM Home Ice channel 204. Tickets for Saturday's home game against Philadelphia and Sunday's game with Grand Rapids are on sale now at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
