'Dogs start seven-game road trip tonight

The Hamilton Bulldogs begin a seven-game road trip this weekend as they play three games in three nights, beginning tonight when they battle the Syracuse Crunch at 7:30 p.m. Hamilton has a record of 2-3-0-0 against Syracuse this season, with one win coming in a shootout. After facing the Crunch, the Bulldogs travel to Binghamton to meet the Senators on Saturday night (7:05 p.m.). In their only meeting of the season on November 9 in Hamilton, the ‘Dogs defeated the Sens 2-1. Hamilton wraps up the weekend on Sunday by facing the Rochester Americans at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are 2-5-0-1 against the Americans thus far in 2005-06.

Fans can listen to this weekend's games, and every Bulldogs game, on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, Hamilton's 820 CHAM "The Legend". Ellery Award winning broadcaster Derek Wills will provide the play-by-play call of all 80 regular season games with Al Craig providing the colour commentary for home games and select road games.

TEAM/PLAYER NOTES

- Hamilton is 4-1 in their last five games.

- RW Duncan Milroy has nine points (4g-5a) in his last nine games.

- LW Peter Vandermeer posted his 100th career AHL point when he earned an assist on Saturday, February 18 in the ‘Dogs 5-2 loss to the Omaha Knights.

- C Francis Lemieux posted one goal and one assist in Hamilton's 3-2 win over Omaha on Sunday, February 19. It was Lemieux's first multipoint game since December 22.

- LW Jean-Francois Jacques had his four game point streak snapped on Sunday against Omaha. Jacques posted seven points (5g-2a) during the stretch.

- LW Brad Winchester collected his sixth multipoint game on Sunday versus Omaha, recording the game-winning goal and adding two assists. Winchester now leads the team with three game-winners this season.

BULLDOGS BATTLE MOOSE ON MARCH 10 The Bulldogs next home action will take place on Friday, March 10, when the Manitoba Moose visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. and it can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
