Lawson assigned to Long Beach

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs have assigned forward Lucas Lawson to the Long Beach Ice Dogs (ECHL).

Lawson, 26, played eight games with the Bulldogs this season, posting three points (one goal, two assists). Lawson missed 11 games with a shoulder injury suffered in practice. On January 4, he made franchise history when he became the first Bulldog to score on a penalty shot at home.

The native of Braeside, Ontario, started the season with JyP HT Jyvaskyla of Finland, posting 10 points (one goal, nine assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 24 games.

The Bulldogs next action will take place tonight, Friday, February 24 when they face the Syracuse Crunch in the first game of a seven game road trip. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Hamilton's next home game will take place on Friday, March 10 when they take on the Manitoba Moose. Game time is 7:30 p.m. and it can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.
