PEORIA, IL - Dimtri Patzold turned aside 32 shots-on-goal from Peoria in the Barons 4-2 win at Carver Arena on Friday night. Five players from the Barons, Ryane Clowe, Patrick Rissmiller, Josh Hennessy, Mike Iggulden and Shane Joseph registered two points in the game.

The Barons scored the first goal of a game for the fourth time in the last 21 games as Shane Joseph slid his eighth goal of the year past Reinhard Divis at the 6:15 of the opening frame. Josh Prudden and Ryane Clowe assisted on the goal, which turned out to be the only tally of the opening period. Dimitri Patzold, making his second consecutive appearance for the Barons, made 10-saves in the period.

The Barons extended their lead from one-goal to two-goals after forty minutes of play. Ryane Clowe's 13th goal of the year at the 1:45 mark gave the Barons a 2-0 lead. The two-goal advantage was short-lived as Peoria's Gavin Morgan scored on a breakaway 2:02 later. With a 2-1 lead Joseph and Tom Cavanagh re-established the Barons two-goal margin setting up Patrick Rissmiller with his 15th goal of the season.

It was obvious the next goal was an important one as Peoria stormed out in the third period with the first four shots of the period. However, the Barons responded with Josh Hennessy scoring his 19th goal of the year giving the Barons a 4-1 lead at the 1:17 mark of the final period. Divis was pulled from the Peoria goal at that point finishing his night with 15-saves and four goals allowed in 41:17 of playing time. Chris Beckford-Tseu replaced Divis and made the final six saves of the night in a no decision appearance. Peoria scored the game last goal with a power play marker from Brendan Brooks at 4:19. Patzold finished the period with 12-saves on 13 shots and a total of 32-saves in the game.

Hennessy, with a goal and assist, earned his 50th and 51st points of the season setting a Barons franchise record for points in a season by a rookie. The mark surpassed the original rookie record set by Chad Wiseman during the 2001-02 season with 50-points.

The Barons will play two more road contests before returning home on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4 for back-to-back games against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Both home games begin at 7 O'clock and tickets are available now at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office. Tomorrow night the Barons travel to Chicago for a match up against the Wolves at 8:30pm EST. The game will be broadcast live on the Barons official web site, www.clevelandbarons.net.
