Hershey Bears News Release

Despite all of the positive feelings generated by HERSHEY'S 2009-10 Calder Cup pregame ceremony and banner raising, Rochester rallied from an early deficit to post a 3-2 win at Giant Center Saturday night.

Brian Willsie opened the scoring with his second goal in as many nights, a power play strike at 5:40 from Keith Aucoin and Lawrence Nycholat. The goal gave HERSHEY a 1-0 lead, but it would be the only lead of the night for the Chocolate and White. Three unanswered goals from the Americans would turn the tide, the first of which came from Michael Repik at 11:04 of the first. Former Washington Capital Michael Nylander gave the Amerks their first lead of the night, with a one-time tip off a Triston Grant pass at 14:53 of the first. Evgeny Dadonov scored what proved to be the game-winner at 7:15 of the second period through BEARS goaltender Dany Sabourin. Andrew Gordon would pull HERSHEY within one with a tip of a Willsie shot at 6:54, but the home team would pull no closer. Sabourin would take the loss, making 16 saves. Amerks backstop Jacob Markstrom earned his second win in four decisions.
