Abbotsford Heat News Release
Abbotsford B.C. - Alec Richards spoiled the party as he turned aside 27 shots, helping the Rockford Ice Hogs down the Abbotsford Heat 5-0 in AHL action Friday night at an energized Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.
Evan Brophey, Rob Kilinkhammer, Jeremy Morin, Jeff Taffe and Brandon Pirri scored for the Ice Hogs to spoil the home opening evening at the AESC.
Leland Irving dropped to 2-2 on the season and the Heat also fell to the same 2-2 mark on the campaign.
The same two teams meet Saturday7 pm puck drop in Abbotsford.
