Akron RubberDucks News Release

AKRON, OH - The Eastern League's top team returns home this week for a brief three-game homestand with the Bowie Baysox Tuesday through Thursday. All three games begin at 7:05 p.m. The Aeros are coming off a 7-1 road trip to Erie and Binghamton and they hold the Southern Division lead by 4.5 games over Bowie, winners of four straight.

OF/1B Matt LaPorta is expected to be in the lineup tonight against the Baysox as the 2007 7th-overall pick makes his organizational debut after being the centerpiece of the trade that sent former Aero and Tribe ace CC Sabathia to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Fans can watch the two best teams in the division without digging deep into their wallets. The Aeros are offering some specials to help fans enjoy their visit to Canal Park even more:

Tuesday is Two-for-Tuesday as tickets and select concession items are buy-one, get-one at Canal Park.

Wednesday is Family Fun Pack Day with four tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, and four sodas for just $48.

The finale is Thirsty Thursday at Canal Park, where fans can receive 12 oz. beer and fountain sodas for just $1, and then can stick around for the post-game fireworks show sponsored by CenturyTel.

Tonight, Akron left-hander Scott Lewis (3-2, 5.28 ERA) takes the hill against Bowie's Chorye Spoone (3-3, 4.57 ERA). The game broadcast begins at 6:50 p.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com. For more information, please call the Aeros at (330) 253-5151.
