ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their seven-game road trip as they open up a three-game series at First Energy Stadium against the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Philllies). The SeaWolves are coming off of a four-game series sweep at the hands of Bowie and the club has now dropped seven of its last eight games. The ‘Wolves and R-Phils are in a fifth place tie in the Southern Division, 19.5 games behind first place Akron. The last time the two clubs met was at Jerry Uht Park, May 27-29. The SeaWolves swept that three-game series...Righty Josh Rainwater takes the mound for the SeaWolves, making his 15th appearance and 14th start of the season. Rainwater is coming off of his best performance of 2008 against Akron on July 3. In the game, he tossed eight shutout innings, allowing three hits with three walks and a season-high nine strikeouts. It was the second time in 14 starts where Rainwater held an opponent scoreless. He has worked at least five innings in all seven of his starts since returning from the disabled list on May 28...Righty J.D. Durbin makes his 10th start of the season for the R-Phils. Durbin has picked up wins in each of his last two starts. He beat New Britain on July 3 going 6.2 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts. Durbin took a loss on May 27 against Erie going 5.2 innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits with a pair of walks and four strikeouts. Durbin has split time with Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

- RHP Andrew Kown has been placed on Erie's disabled list. RHP Lauren Gagnier has been transferred from Triple-A Toledo to Erie. Gagnier will start for the ‘Wolves on Thursday against Reading.

- Wilkin Ramirez is fifth in the league with a .527 slugging percentage.
