June 28, 2023 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Duluth Huskies News Release
The Duluth Huskies once again found themselves down early, but a 4-0 deficit in the 3rd inning was not enough to keep them down. The Huskies answered and put up 12 runs on the board to defeat the Waterloo Bucks 13-7 tonight, keeping them alive in the first-half division race.
Calyn Halvorson was the big hitter tonight for Duluth, finishing a triple shy of the cycle with the big blast coming from a 3-run home run that gave the Huskies the lead in the 3rd inning. Caleb Corbin also. contributed with 3 hits along with Brandon Compton who finished with 4 runs driven in.
The Huskies now improve to 7-6 this season when the other team scores first, as they have done a great job of rallying and capitalizing on opportunities.
