Barry Melrose and Steve Levy coming to Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud members of the United Hockey League, announce that television analyst Barry Melrose and sports anchor Steve Levy will on hand during the K-Wings Sixth Annual Teddy Bear Toss game sponsored by WOTV and WKFR on Saturday, December 17th, against the Adirondack Frostbite.

Melrose and Levy, who are the owners of the Frostbite will at the game to help cheer on their team, as well as to meet the best fans in the UHL.

This will be the 6th season the K-Wings have staged the Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used teddy bear or other stuffed animal to the game this Saturday. After Kalamazoo scores their first goal, all fans will be allowed to throw their bears onto the ice. The bears will be collected and donated to area children's hospitals along with the WOTV Angel Tree Foundation. Over the past five seasons, the K-Wings have collected thousands of stuffed animals that were distributed to children during the holidays. The day before the Frostbite come to town, the K-Wings will also be home, as the Quad City Mallards pay a visit to Wings Stadium on B & G Discount Night.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are available by calling the Wings Stadium Ticket Office at (269) 345-5101. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday's from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The Kalamazoo Wings also announce they will be visiting Bronson Hospital next Thursday, December 22nd 1 PM. K-Wing players will be delivering some of the teddy bears collected at the Teddy Bear Toss game to children at the hospital.
