Barons Host "Indians On Ice"

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons, in conjunction with the Cleveland Indians, will host "Indians On Ice" on Friday, January 23rd as they host the AHL Calder Cup Champion Houston Aeros at 7:00pm. Michael T. Lehr, President of the Cleveland Barons, made the announcement.

Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and meet Indians Major/Minor League Players. Indians ballplayers expected to attend include: Ben Broussard, John McDonald, Ryan Ludwick, Josh Bard, Travis Hafner, Jason Stanford, Jason Davis, Victor Martinez, Jason Cooper, David Wallace, Joe Inglett, Jake Dittler, Travis Foley, Corey Smith, Ivan Ochoa, Mariano Gomez, and Luke Scott. Indians players will hold an autograph session prior to the game at 6:15-6:45pm and during the first intermission. The autograph session schedules will be announced the night of the event.

A portion of the ticket proceeds for the night will benefit Cleveland Indians Charities. Prior to the game, a member of the Cleveland Indians will throw out the games first pitch to the Barons starting goaltender. During the game, fans will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for various autographed Cleveland Indians items.

The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Patrick Rissmiller Bobblehead Doll. The Rissmiller bobblehead doll will feature a full head of realistic hair. It is the second of three bobblehead doll giveaways this season.

"For two seasons we have hosted the participants of the Indians winter development program and it was well received by both organizations and our fans," stated Lehr. "This season, we are taking the event to a new level and with more activities, the autograph sessions, and the contribution to Cleveland Indians Charities."
