Moose Goalie Saves: Tyler Moss stopped 21 of 24 shots; Robert McVicar stopped 12 of 12.
Storyline: Moose again fall behind 1-0 and 3-1 before two third period goals pull out tie including Tyler Bouck's goal with two and a half minutes to play...both starters Tyler Moss and St. John's' Sebastien Centomo are pulled after 40 minutes of play...Robert McVicar makes only second appearance for the Moose and earns his first AHL decision...Brandon Reid has three-game assists streak ended...Justin Morrison extends goal streak to three games and points streak to five games...Morrison fired five shots on net for second game in a row...Moss makes 17th straight start...Moose allow their 5th shorthanded goal of the season...Moose earn only their second tie this season when trailing after two periods of play...Moose earned five of 12 points from Maple Leafs in six meetings so far this season (2-3-1).

Storyline: Robert McVicar made his first AHL start and recorded his very first AHL win...Ryan Ready's first goal in 10 games proves the winner half-way through the third period...Pat Kavanagh, Tyler Bouck, Rene Vydareny, and Jaroslav Obsut all extend points streaks to two games...Justin Morrison's three-game goal streak and five-game points streak both come to an end...Bouck scores his fifth goal in four games...Moose move to within three points of second-place in the North Division. Saturday, January 10 Manitoba 0 @ Hamilton 6 Moose Goalie Saves: Tyler Moss made 40 saves on 46 shots. Storyline: Moose play second game in less than 24 hours and are never in this one...suffer fourth loss in four meetings with Bulldogs this season...Jozef Balej finishes with two goals and an assist; Francois Beauchemin and Jean-Phillip Cote end up with two helpers each...was the third time this season the Moose have been shutout and second time by the Bulldogs...Defenceman Kirill Koltsov ended up –4 on the afternoon; Nolan Baumgartner was –3.

Storyline: Moose finish off "three-games-in-three-night" stretch with second meeting in three days with Americans...Milan Bartovic scored :26 into the game for Rochester to open up a 1-0 lead...McVicar made only second start for the Moose this season...Sean Pronger collects his second goal of road-trip...Manitoba record in three-games-in–three nights falls to 2-4 with wins in the first game of each such series...ends week tied for fifth in North Division with Syracuse Crunch (16-20-6-1).

Cincinnati Mighty Ducks – Friday, January 16 6:35 p.m. Cincinnati Gardens The Moose face the Mighty Ducks for the third time this season...swept the Ducks back on Nov. 21/03 (4-2) and Nov. 22/02 (2-1) at the Winnipeg Arena...will be Manitoba's first-ever visit to Cincinnati to face the Ducks...met the Cincinnati Cyclones as part of the International Hockey League (12-5-6)...the Ducks entered the week fifth in the West Division (15-17-5-1), three points back of the Houston Aeros...Chris Kunitz is the league's leading rookie scorer with 15 goals and 31 points; is 16th in overall league scoring...goalie Ilya Bryzgalov is tied for third in the AHL in wins with 13 in 29 appearances; has a goals against average of 2.23...Chris Armstrong is third in AHL scoring amongst defenceman with six goals and 24 points...the Mighty Ducks have the third-best penalty-killing unit in the entire league at 89.4%...Cincinnati is 9-6-3-1 at the Gardens.

Chicago Wolves – Saturday, January 17 7:00 p.m. Allstate Arena The Moose finish up their longest road trip of the season with their second visit into Chicago...the Moose suffered a 4-3 overtime loss on a goal by Simon Gamache back on Oct. 16/03...in two meetings at the Winnipeg Arena back in November, the Moose suffered a 2-1 defeat and a 3-3 tie with the Wolves...overall, including their time together in the IHL, the Moose are 27-32-2-6...the Wolves enter the week third in the West Division (19-14-5-2), four points back of the Griffins...Chicago is 11-6-0-1 on home-ice...Brendan Yarema has a four home-game points streak on the go...Steve Maltais is Chicago's leading scorer with 12 goals and 29 points; he has two points (1G,1A) against the Moose this season...Kari Lehtonen will start for PlanetUSA in the AHL All-Star game in Grand Rapids; has 14 wins in 26 appearances this season and a goals against average of 2.39...Karl Stewart is currently on a fivegame assists streak.

Moose Notes

- Tyler Moss' franchise record for consecutive starts came to an end January 9/04. He finished with 17 consecutive starts. In that time, he posted 7-7-2 with a 2.87 goals against average and an. 885 save percentage. The old mark was held by Fred Brathwaite who started 14 straight back in 1997.

- Jimmy Roy reached the 1000th career penalty minute mark on January 9/04 at Rochester with a hooking penalty at 11:24 of the third period.

- Brandon Reid and defenceman Jaroslav Obsut were each named to their first AHL All-Star Classics this past week. Reid will suit up for the Canadian Team, while Obsut will play for PlanetUSA.

- Reid was recalled to the Vancouver Canucks for the first time this season on Saturday, January 10/04. He was in the line-up for Vancouver's game vs. the Florida Panthers Sunday, January 11/04 and saw 9:09 worth of action.

- Justin Morrison's five-game points streak tied the longest of his career. He had a five-game points streak from January 8/03 to Febuary 5/03.

- Robert McVicar picked up his first AHL victory in his first AHL start on January 9/04 at Rochester.
