The Bowie Baysox announce a roster move today. Baltimore Orioles 2B Brian Roberts assigned to Bowie on a Major League Rehab Assignment. With the move, the Baysox maintain a complete 24-man roster. Players on Major League Rehab Assignments do not count against the 24-man roster.

Roberts appeared in four games for the Orioles this year, batting .143 (2-14) with two walks and two stolen bases. He has been on the disabled list since April 10. He last appeared in a game for Bowie in 2006 as part of another Major League Rehab Assignment. In 2001, he played in 22 games for the Baysox, batting .296 (24-81) with seven doubles, one home run, seven RBIs and 10 stolen bases. He is scheduled to play for the Baysox through Saturday, July 24.
