Back-to-Back Wins: Grizz Win 3-1

Fresno, California - Another strong third period from the Grizzlies produced three goals again to give the Grizzlies a 3-1 victory over the Falcons. The win gave the Grizzlies their first back-to- back wins of the season.

After coming off last nights shutout, Utah's Rob McVicar continued to keep his opponents scoreless for the first 20 minutes, setting aside all 14 first period shots by Fresno.

It took over 92 minutes, but the Falcons were finally able to break McVicar this weekend in Fresno. Fresno's Dustin VanBallegooie at 12:06 of the second period was able to fire a wrist shot from the right wing circle to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.

At the midway mark of the third period, the Grizzlies evened the score at one on the Power Play. Ryan Kinasewich's scored his 20th of the season, with assists to Luciano Aquino and Chris Trick. The assist gives Aquino an assist in his first three games with the Grizzlies. Danny Stewart broke the one-one tie from the high slot, at 16:43 of the third for his 7th of the season. Luciano Aquino got his second assist of the night and Ryan Kinasewich got the other assist for his second point of the evening. Travis Rycroft added his 3rd goal of the season into an empty net with 5.5 seconds left to complete the 3-1 victory.

Rob McVicar backed the victory with 35 saves on 36 shots.

The Grizzlies finish their season-long seven-game road trip Sunday in Stockton. Face-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

Utah returns to the E-Center for 25 of their final 35 games in the regular season Friday, January 19 hosting Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
