@ Alaska Aces

Game two of a three-game series

LAST GAME : From the sunny beaches of California to the glaciers of Alaska, the Salmon Kings continue their eight-game road trip versus the division-leading Aces.

Ryan Wade warranted Victoria's first goal, taking the puck on a shorthanded breakaway and beating Goaltender Derek Gustafson.

The Aces laid three consecutive markers to take the two-goal advantage in the second period. Steven Later and Corbin Schmidt combined for two goals in under one minute early in the period, and assistant captain Joe Talbot scored late in the frame.

All-Star selection Milan Gajic closed the gap in the third frame, finishing a breakaway pass from Kiel McLeod, but Alaska axed the Victoria comeback attempt.
