LAST GAME: The B-Mets fell in extra innings to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 12-11, in 11 innings at NYSEG Stadium Sunday afternoon. Josh Rodriguez hit two home runs, including a grand slam, while driving in seven. The B-Mets had a 7-3 lead in the eighth inning before the bullpen allowed nine unanswered runs over the final four innings. It was the pen's first blown save in nine games and first earned runs allowed in 21 innings. Michael Fulmer allowed three runs in five innings pitched in his B-Mets debut this season, but did not factor in to the decision. Beck Wheeler suffered the blown save and his first loss of the year. In total, Rodriguez recorded four hits and was one of five B-Mets to have multiple hits in the game. Binghamton took two of three from the Fisher Cats, as the loss snapped their season-high six game win streak.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP John Gant makes his fourth start of the year and first in nine days. Gant shutout the Fisher Cats over seven innings his last time out, allowing just four hits for the win. In Gant's only other start at NYSEG Stadium, he surrendered three runs in 5.2 innings pitched against Harrisburg to suffer the loss. It will be the 22-year old's first career start against Portland. He spent 2014 with Savannah (Low-A), going 11-5 with a 2.56 ERA in 21 starts. He was drafted by the Mets in the 21st round of the 2011 draft.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Mike Augliera makes his fifth start of the season and second consecutive against Binghamton. In the first go-round, Augliera was tagged for seven runs and 10 hits in 3.2 innings pitched against the B-Mets. The righty has been tacked with a loss in all four outings this season. Opponents are hitting .381 against the starter who will be making his second road start of the season. He has allowed 11 runs in the first two innings of games (8 innings total). Righties are hitting at a .435 clip against Augliera. The 24-year old pitched at Binghamton University, setting program bests in wins, innings pitched, starts and complete games. He was drafted by Boston in the fifth round of the 2012 draft. 

TWO FOR THE MONEY: Josh Rodriguez became the first B-Met to home twice in a game this season, when he did so Sunday afternoon. One of the homers was a grand slam, the second by Binghamton this season (Aderlin Rodriguez). The seven RBI, while a season-best for Binghamton, are the second most Rodriguez has ever drive in in a game. J-Rod had nine RBI in a game with Kinston (High-A) in 2007, his second season in minor league baseball. The infielder also hit a grand slam in that game. The seven RBI were the most in a game by a B-Met since Brian Burgamy drove in seven against Akron, June 11, 2014.

VS. PORTLAND: Binghamton has won all three matchups against the Sea Dogs this season, with those taking place at Hadlock Field. The B-Mets outscored Portland 26-11 in the three games, holding the Sea Dogs to a .219 team batting average. Binghamton hit .308 during the three game set. The B-Mets committed five errors, which led to five unearned runs.

HITTING STREAKS: Three different B-Mets are currently riding current streaks of six games or more: Xorge Carrillo (6), Gavin Cecchini (9) and Eudy Pina (10). Pina's streak is the longest for a B-Met this season.

TAKE THE PEN: The nine runs allowed by Binghamton's bullpen Sunday were the first in five games. The B-Mets pen had tossed 20 consecutive innings with allowing an earned run. On the other side, The Sea Dogs bullpen has only allowed five runs in their last 23.1 innings pitched, spanning five games.
