Nick Evans scored on Dan Griffin's errant throw to third on Shawn Bowman's bunt and Binghamton pounded out 16 hits en route to their second straight walk-off win, 6-5 in 11 innings. Three men had three hits including Jose Coronado, who plated the tying run in the ninth on an infield single.

The 11th inning started with an Evans double off the leftfield wall, which was followed up by Griffin's intentional walk of Lucas Duda. Attempting to lay down his first sacrifice of the season, Bowman tapped a come-backer to the mound, which Griffin whipped down the left field line to allow Evans to plate the winning run.

The B-Mets tied the game off Connecticut closer Daniel Otero in the ninth to send the game to extras. The damage was done with two outs as Bowman singled to center and advanced to third on a base hit by D.J. Wabick. Jose Coronado then tied the game on an infield hit, which allowed Bowman to score.

Edgar Alfonzo pitched a perfect 11th inning to pick up his second win of the season.

Binghamton (20-23) grabbed a lead in the sixth off Defenders' reliever Matt Yourkin, who worked .1 innings and gave up two runs. Duda led-off with a base knock followed by a Bowman walk. Wabick then scored Duda on a single to right. Ruben Tejada collected his third hit in as many chances to make the score 3-1 on a double to score Bowman and force Yourkin out of the game.

The lead was short lived as Connecticut (25-20) responded in the seventh to take the lead 5-3, chasing Mike Antonini from the game. Four runs came across in the frame, including three charged to Antonini, which would have hung him with the loss.

Antonini pitched 6.1 innings giving up four runs on five hits in a no decision. He tied a season-high with eight strikeouts.

The B-Mets chipped the lead down to 5-4 by scoring one in the eighth on an RBI sac bunt by Tejada that scored Wabick, who had doubled off the wall in left early in the frame.

Binghamton will finish up their homestand against Connecticut tomorrow morning. RHP Tobi Stoner (1-1, 1.89 ERA) will make his fourth start of the season and the Defenders will counter with RHP Henry Sosa (3-0, 1.85 ERA). The first pitch is slated for 10:35 a.m. and the radio broadcast on ESPN 1360 WYOS begins at 10:20 a.m. with the Horizons Federal Credit Union Pre-Game Show.
