Austin Pruitt Promoted to Hot Rods

Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Rays, announce that RHP Austin Pruitt has been received by the Hot Rods from Short Season-A Hudson Valley. The move brings the Hot Rods roster to its maximum of 25 active players.

A ninth round draft pick out of the University of Houston, Pruitt led the Cougars with 10 wins, 92 strikeouts, and a 2.85 ERA as a senior. Pruitt, a Gregg Olson Award Semifinalist for Breakout Player of the Year, opened his professional career with the Hudson Valley Renegades. Pruitt went 0-1 with a 1.14 ERA over five Renegade starts.

Bowling Green's next game will be on Sunday at 2:05 PM CDT against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Hot Rods LHP Jordan Harrison (1-1, 2.70) is scheduled to start against Kernels LHP Mason Melotakis (6-3, 3.89).
