Austin FC Selects Defender Kamal Miller in 2020 Expansion Draft

ORLANDO, Fla. - On Tuesday evening, Austin FC, Major League Soccer's (MLS) newest franchise, selected defender Kamal Miller from Orlando City SC (No. 5 overall) in the 2020 Expansion Draft for its inaugural MLS roster.

Miller, 23, was selected by the Lions at No. 27 overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. A product out of Syracuse University, Miller appeared in 30 matches for City across all competitions in his two seasons with the Club, including both of the Lions matches this postseason. In 2019, Miller was part of a Lions' defense that tied a Club-record for shutouts with seven on the calendar year.
