Archibald and Dea Return to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forwards Josh Archibald and Jean-Sebastien Dea to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.

Archibald netted the game-winning goal in the Nailers' 2-1 victory in Reading on Wednesday to bring his season totals with Wheeling to seven goals, four assists and four penalty minutes in nine games. The 22-year-old rookie has also recorded 11 points (5G-6A) and 24 penalty minutes in 41 appearances with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.

A sixth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins (174th overall) in 2011, Archibald was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award last season as the NCAA's top college hockey player after ranking third in the nation with 29 goals for the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Dea, 21, has skated in 41 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, amassing nine goals, 10 assists and 14 penalty minutes. Currently in his first professional season, Dea has also posted four goals and three assists over 14 contests with Wheeling.

Dea set career highs in 2013-14 with 49 goals for Rouyn-Noranda of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League -fourth most in the league - and ranked second on the team with 75 points. In three seasons with the Huskies, Dea totaled 192 points (111G-81A) over 183 contests.
