Andrew Penner Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (February 16, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Andrew Penner from Dayton (ECHL) to Syracuse.

Penner, 21, has appeared in 30 games with Dayton this season, posting an 11-16-0 record with a 3.98 goals against average and a .877 save percentage. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Penner was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 17, 2001.

Syracuse hosts San Antonio tonight for a 7 pm face-off. On Wednesday, February 18 Binghamton visits the War Memorial at Oncenter again for Scooby-Doo Night.
