Anaheim Ducks Sign Kalle Kossila to Two-Year Entry-Level Contract

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed center Kalle Kossila to a two-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kossila, 22 (4/14/93), scored 14-40=54 points in 41 games with the St. Cloud State University Huskies (NCHC) this season and led his team to the 2015-16 NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship. The Kauniainen, Finland native ranked tied for fifth in the nation and led the Huskies in points, assists, points per game (1.32) and faceoff win percentage (58.1%).

A 2015-16 Second Team All-Conference selection, Kossila also co-led the NCHC in scoring with North Dakota's Brock Boeser and led in assists, faceoff win percentage and faceoffs won (481). He scored five goals in two games at Denver on Dec. 11 and 12.

Kossila tallied 48-105=153 points in four seasons (157 games) with St. Cloud State from 2012-16. The 5-10, 187-pound senior finished his career ranked tied for second in career assists and sixth in scoring among St. Cloud State all-time leaders.
