Moose Add Three Defencemen

The Manitoba Moose hockey club announced today that they signed defencemen Jordan Hill and Jordon Southorn to professional tryout agreements and Jon Jutzi to an amateur tryout agreement.

Hill, 27, has played 66 games with the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL this season where he has recorded four goals and 22 assists for 26 points. During his career he has played a total of 197 games in the AHL including the last two seasons with the St. John's IceCaps. He made his pro debut with the Manitoba Moose during the 2009-10 season.

Southorn, 25, has spent this season with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL where he has registered nine goals and 28 assists for 37 points in 59 games. In his career he has played 272 games in the ECHL where he has registered 43 goals and 103 assists for 146 points. He has also played 29 career AHL games with Providence and Portland.

Jutzi, 24, played 41 games at Minnesota State University this season where he recorded five goals and 10 assists for 15 points. In his four year collegiate career he has played 144 games and registered nine goals and 35 assists for 44 points.

The Moose play the Iowa Wild at the Wells Fargo Arena in the start of a two-game series on Wednesday, Mar. 30 at 7 p.m. CT.
