
Monsters Sign Austin Farley to Amateur Tryout Contract

CLEVELAND - In advance of a Friday road game vs. the Chicago Wolves, Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters signed 22 year-old former University of Minnesota-Duluth left wing Austin Farley to an amateur tryout contract (ATO).
A 5'8", 170 lb. left-handed native of Park Ridge, IL, Farley notched 15 goals, 31 points, 18 penalty minutes and a +26 rating for Minnesota-Duluth this season and served as an assistant captain for the Bulldogs, whose season ended Saturday with a 3-2 loss to Boston College in the NCAA Tournament's Northeast Regional Final. Farley will wear number 71 for the Monsters.
In 144 career NCAA games played spanning four varsity seasons with Minnesota-Duluth from 2012 to 2016, Farley registered 46 goals, 106 points, 109 penalty minutes and a +21 rating. In parts of two USHL seasons with the Fargo Force from 2010 to 2012, Farley contributed 35 goals, 70 points, 77 penalty minutes and a +17 rating in 84 appearances.
