Robin Norell Signed to ATO

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced that they have signed defenseman Robin Norell to an amateur tryout contract (ATO).

Norell was drafted in the fourth round (#111 overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The Stockholm, Sweden native joined the IceHogs last season in the midst of their postseason run and played three Calder Cup Playoff contests with Rockford.

The 21 year-old defenseman notched two goals and six assists in 51 games for Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Hockey League this season.

Next Home Game: Friday, Apr. 1 vs. San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. for a Blues Flame Friday. Fans 21-and-older are invited to enjoy live blues music, a happy hour special, and free appetizers at the Blue Flame Lounge on the main concourse.
