Hurricanes Reassign Sutter to Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Brody Sutter to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Sutter, 24, has appeared in seven NHL games for the Hurricanes this season. The Viking, Alb., native has totaled 21 points (11g, 10a) and 37 penalty minutes in 63 games on the AHL level with the Checkers this season. The Hurricanes' seventh-round pick (193rd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft, Sutter (6'5", 203 lbs.) has played 11 career NHL games with Carolina. He has totaled 35 goals and 45 assists (80 points) in 204 career games with the Checkers.
