Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans took two games from the Wichita Thunder this past weekend, going 2-1-0 last week to improve to 15-13-1-0 on the season. The Americans will travel to Tulsa on Tuesday night to meet the Oilers at 7:05 PM before returning home to face Idaho on Thursday and Friday before the Christmas holiday break.

Wednesday, December 14th vs Colorado Eagles - 5-4 Loss

Allen, Texas - The Americans rallied back from a 3-0 first period deficit to tie the score in the third, however a Matt Register power play goal sealed the deal for Colorado in a 5-4 win over the Americans. It was Register's second game-winner against his former team this season.

Friday, December 16th vs. Wichita Thunder - 6-1 Win

Allen, Texas - Dyson Stevenson had a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Americans in a 6-1 victory over the Wichita Thunder. It was the Americans most complete win of the season in a game that saw 136 combined penalty minutes.

Sunday, December 18th @ Wichita Thunder - 4-1 Win

Wichita, Kansas - The Americans completed the weekend sweep of the Thunder on a frigid day in Wichita, Kansas. With the temp outside near zero, the Americans heated up in the third period scoring three times on their way to a 4-1 victory. Chad Costello had a goal and three helpers, while Greger Hanson scored two power play goals to help pace the win. Americans rookie netminder Jamie Murray stopped 42 of 43 shots on goal.
